Integrated Community Based Micro Hydro System and Socio Economic Development Project for the Local Communities at Kg. Dangang, Udung Abun, Sg. Penyuan, Belaga, Sarawak.
This planning grant is to study the feasibility of a micro hydropower installation at Kg. Dangang, which has a reliable water source coming from Abung Muang river, while providing proper protection of watershed areas to ensure the sustainability of the ecosystem, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity by the local communities.
Micro hydropower produces clean and renewable energy, harnessed from the kinetic energy of swift moving water. The energy produces will enable th elocal communities at Kg. Dangang to carry out socioeconomic income generating activities for a sustainable livelihood.
