SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL LIVELIHOOD PROJECT (SALP)
The project will be operating in 31 communities in Malema chiefdom in Kailahun district on agricultural related activities and good governance. The key objective of this proposed project is to alleviate the potential environmental climatic problems associated with land degradation and unsustainable farming activities. It will benefit 100 vulnerable small holding farmers, women and unemployed youths who shall contribute to the production and income generating scheme in five (5) rural poor communities in the Gola forest in Malema chiefdom, in Kailahun District of Sierra Leone

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
During the cause of Project implementation, progress reports will be made available to the communities and quarterly report will be sent to GEF SGP. At the end of the project NAVDA shall compile and submit a completion report to GEF SGP. The completion report shall address (a) the costs and benefits of the Project; (b) the achievement of its objectives in accordance with the targeting strategy and criteria; (c) the performance by the Recipient, the Project Implementing Partners
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Lessons learned; a gender and age disaggregated database/list of supported farmers including their name, a mapping of farms; and achievemen with success stories will be documented on CDs, and hard copies for replicated in subsequence projects
