New Innovation Adopted from Apicola Renacimiento S.C., a honey bee cooperative in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico.Using of recycled plastic bottles instead of water as a tool to prevent pests like ants from entering the hives The bottles block the ants from entering from below and when they crawl on top of the bottle they fall off. This method has proven to be more efficient and cost effective. There is no need to visit the apiary every three days to monitor water.
