JCDT and BPFA sign memorandum of understading
Peter, President of the Bowden Pen Farmers' Association (BPFA) and Susan (first right), Executive Director of the Jamaica Conservation and Development Trust (JCDT) signed a very historic MoU in June 2006. The MoU gave co-management responsibilities to the BPFA for the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park. The park is the largest terrestrial park in Jamaica. Of significant note is the fact that the BPFA comprises maroons, the closest to an indigenous group in Jamaica.
