Project Details & Results
Ecological Threat:
[1] Energy crisis
[2] Air pollution due to emission produced from vehicle and glass house effect causing the increase of earth temperature
[3] Low development of alternative energy
Project Development Goal:
The development of alternative energy and strengthening the community to save the earth through the reduction of global effect to achieve energy autonomous both local and national level
Project Development Objectives :
[1] Developed alternative energy through the strengthening of community in order to conserve and save national energy with substitutive value
[2] Developed multiplier effect in social, economy, and environment context in order to conserve local natural resources through the establishment of biogas
[3]Conducted campaign to raise awareness among community regarding “SAVE OUR EARTH” theme related to global effect through the utilization of renewable energy, especially biogas
[4]Established network related to the development of alternative energy
Expected Outputs:
[1] Conducted capacity building for community
[2] Procurement of biogas supporting materials
[3] Existed biogas cadre in several villages with sustainable income
[4] Established biogas units at household level
[5] Existed strategic studies regarding alternative energy
[6]Established dissemination forum regarding renewable energy policy

[8]Produced outreach media (website, CD, press release, article, etc)
[9] Launched the pioneer of Energy Autonomous Village

Activities To Be Conducted:
1] Preparation and brainstorming with community
[2] Procurement of supporting material for livestock
[3] Conducting technical assistance to stock-farmer
[4] Conducting training on biogas
[5] Conducting the installation of biogas,
[6] Lobbying and forum discussion with various stakeholders,
[7] Producing documentation and outreach media
Beneficiaries :
1. Direct: 7 groups, each consist of 20 farmers/stock-farmers
2. Indirect : Community from 3 villages, Jangkaran Village, Sindutan and Palihan, and 12 Subdistricts in Kulon Progo as market potential
