Project Details & Results

Planning Phase
1.The planning grant envisages the working seminar in Lepsy Village with all the project stakeholders in order to fully determine all the project’s sections, activities, times, implementing parties and budget.
2.The experts will visit the project site to collect the information on the climate change, VRA, the provision of new grazing areas to be involved in the project with the watering places; the existing and proposed loads on pastures under the conditions of increased aridity and pasture degradation connected with the climate change.
3.The experts will develop the projection aridity scenarios for the area in question and develop the arrangements focused on the risk reduction, sustainable cattle farming development and the LC’s capacities development.
4.The final and detailed project proposal will be developed jointly with the local community and presented to UNDP/CBA.
5.The vulnerability reduction assessment will be performed by the example of projected scenarios in view of potential changes in the pasture productivity under the conditions of increased aridity, increased number of restored wells and expansion of the grazing area per a unit of cattle.
6.The sources of funding for the planning phase will be the UNDP/CBA grant and the proposer’s own funds.
