Project Details & Results

The proponent had established a "Nature Appreciation Center" with a SGP Pilot Phase grant. The project was completed three years ago and is being used by schools and youth clubs all over Jordan. The research lab is being used for practical applications and has enhanced the site and is improving the awareness of Jordanian people in global environmental awareness.

Notable Community Participation
Participation is achieved through the involvement of Jordanian youth from all over the country in project's activities. Other NGOs are also benefiting from this project.

Capacity - Building Component
The NGOs capacities in the field of practical applications and research is being strengthened through this project. The training aspect of the project is also strong in its impact on youth.

Gender Focus
Youth of both sexes are equally involved in p[roject activities.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Public awareness activities including camps, lectures, field visits are all contributing to raising awareness of global environmental issues.

Project Results
