Project Details & Results

The project contributed to the rehabilitation of the argan tree, an endemic specie through the following : the introduction of 2 solar water heaters; the creation of nurseries of young trees; the plantation of trees (argan and alternative trees); and the organisation of trainings on argan conservation and alternative energies. The project also contributed to reinforce the capacity of the community organizations (project development and implementation, participatory approaches and communication).

Results:
10 000 trees planted in the region (argan and alternative trees);
30 representants of NGOs trained.
2 solar water heaters installed in 2 mosques.
Creation of 12 nurseries of young trees in the schools (but the majority of the nurseries are not working now).
