This project is the phase two of an SGP project (IRA-G52-2001-004). It aims to institutionalize the theoretical-practical principles, patterns and methodology of participatory process in local community and among stakeholders. To this end the empowerment of local communities for sustainable management of natural resources such as the mangrove forest will be continued and a management plan for a community Trust Fund and Alternative Livelihoods will be developed and the process will be evaluated with the participation of all the project stakeholders. A trans-boundary proposal will be designed through the strategic management plan drawn with the participation of the local community and government officials. The best practices of the existing experience of mangrove forest management in Island will be shared with the local community through a site visit and pamphlet.
