The project will address strengthening of waste recycling project of P.U.S.H to address better livelihoods for salvagers and their families. It initiated a glass recycling project which involves the collection and shipment of non-returnable bottles to the Carib Glass Ltd. factory in Trinidad. Subsequent phases will address recycling of plastic, cardboard and iron/steel. The grant will be used to construct a storage and packaging facility, acquire machinery and a vehicle for collection and transport of bottles, and provide for the livelihood of bottle salvagers, through the provision of commissions for their participation in the project.
