Project Details & Results

Due to enormous usage of plastic foil for speeding up the production process in farming and the lack of a system for dealing with plastic waste once it has been used, farmers usually burn their plastic foil on their fields. This is creating a massive problem with POPs. The project aim to achieve the decreasing of the amount of the POPs, in the Strumica region and also in the region of the vilages Kuklis and Prosenikovo. The second project objective is to accomplish an economic interest and local development for these communities, by collecting and selling the plastic waste as an alternative option to simply burning it.
