Project Details & Results

One of the most important factors for approving the idea of energy efficiency is the slower consumption of fossil full which is the main starter of the energy systems in the world. The implementations of the measures for energy savings are offering more benefits. One of the most important is the contribution in the protection of the environment, the reduction of CO2 emissions and the green house gases. Also will contribute in the reduction of usage of fossil fuels and the direct reduction of the nature’s destruction. Besides this the social-economical contributions are very important. With the implementation of the energy efficiency measures there will be means savings and the comfort of living will be improved. With this aspect there can be achieved an investment of energy companies and the goverment with the direct improvement of the system with which there can be saved many means and energy. On the other side, the house holds and the public buildings with a little afford and investments, we can improve their situation and of course influence the reduction of the global energy consumption and the protection of the environment. The correct way of exploitation of the energy in the house holds and in the public buildings is to realize the right way of using and maintaining the heating objects, lighting, insulation of windows and doors, insulation of the wools floor and the roofs, installation of solar systems, etc. The final target of this project is the reduction of the consumption of fossil fuels for energetic purposes and the reduction of the greenhouse and other kind of gases in the atmosphere.The benefit from this project primary will have 50 volunteers from the municipality that will be present at the education and after that 1000 people from the local population to whom the educational materials will be distributed. Also we are planning to educate the authorities from the local government for the real meaning of the energy efficiency and the benefit out of it, so they can continue the project in the other buildings in the municipality and make a role model of an energy efficient municipality. Thru the Medias, indirectly with the techniques and the energy efficiency measures and possible usage of renewable sources of energy it will be introduced around 5000 people. Also all the information and educational materials connected with the project will be reachable on our web page www.proaktiva.org.mk thru which the bigger population will be introduced and other municipalities can implement the same project.

Project Results
- A wide information campaign including meetings, seminars holding, interviews, video films demonstration on TV, articles publication in newspapers, distribution of booklets, arrangement of lectures for schoolchildren have been organized. It allowed informing a wide audience about the experience of solar energy usage in private life purposes.
- Local population skills and knowledge have been used during the project implementation, especially during installation of the solar equipment. Besides, the project specialists handed over knowledge on how the resource saving technologies, and methods of rational use of nature resources can be used by local communities all over the region.
- The project has raised interest of the local business-sector to start manufacturing of the solar technologies, which, in its turn, will allow to expand the local market of the alternative energy saving equipment.
- The local population has got access to the new technologies of solar energy use in industrial and household purposes.
- Cooperation between local population and the municipalities have been improved and further developed.

Follow up
Project with similar activities is upscaled and replicated in:
Local Municipality Jegunovce: additional 5 public buildings (3 primary school, local health out-going patient clinic, Dormitory for children with special needs);
Local Municipality Shuto Orizari: (the municipality with majority of Roma population, the most vulnerable ethnic group in the country) in one kindergarten, primary school and local health out-going patient clinic.
