Evaluation of natural resources and possibilities for their capitalisation in the Corund-Praid area
The project promotes sustainable technologies for renewable energy in the rural area of Corund. Disadvantaged ethnic groups will be given opportunities to improve their incomes by getting involved in collecting forest fruits, mushrooms, herbs, etc. and drying them in a system using solar energy. The renewable energy potential of the area will be assessed, with the involvement of the local community. The project will include a pilot water heating solar panel at a training centre. Sustainable transport will also be promoted through a bicycle track. In addition, the project will address biodiversity conservation in a Natura 2000 site and will assess the mineral water resources of the Corund-Praid area and their integration in tourist routes.

74 women are involved in project activities. They participate in research and information activities, in practical works for the conservation of Tinovul Fantana Brazilor.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
76 persons (including school population) are involved in trainings regarding the biodiversity conservation and climate change, 180 locals participate in practical activities regarding the enclosure of Natura2000 area, construction of the dryer equipment, establishment of the bike track etc.); 500 persons are involved in information activities.
