Rain Water Harvesting
This project will aim at increasing the awareness of the local community to manage a natural resource (water) by rainwater harvesting practices which will help in preserving the agriculture in the Mukibleh village/ Jarash.

Project Specific Objectives:

- Increasing the local community’s awareness on preserving rainwater and using it. Improving and creating new rain water harvesting systems, which will decrease the use of the household water supply.

- Improving the living conditions of the local community through supporting small income generating projects through a revolving fund.

- Enhancing and upgrading the skills of the society technically, finically and managerial.

Project Characteristics and Results
Replication of project activities
A joint coordination towards the implementation of the project activities, and providing technical assistance in different fields will be offered by The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature/ the Dibeen Nature Reserve.
Project sustainability
In order to insure sustainability, the cooperative will use the revolving fund approach to manage the water harvesting activities, thereby allowing project activities to continue beyond the funding period of the project.
