Promotion of the sustainable energy trough energy-efficiency measures for better environment in to the Municipality of Zrnovci
Macedonia can not relay any more on the government to pay the local expanses, now they have a new and very expansive obligation to manage and pay for there own energy consumption. Macedonia has a limited source of commercial energy recourse and in the future they have to relay on the imported energy. There are many ways to cut down the emission of green house gasses. On the other hand for many households in Macedonia, monthly expenses for energy are taking the biggest part of the family budget after spending for food. The biggest reason for that is the lack of education of the citizens on energy savings. Also municipalities in Macedonia can not relay any more on the government to pay the local expanses, now they have a new and very expansive obligation to manage and pay for there own energy consumption.
Main activity of this project will be direct support to one school in municipality of Zrnovci. Wit this project will be install solar system for heating two classrooms in school SInisa Stoilov in Zrnovci.
Decreasing of CO2 in to the atmosphere will be main goal with this project.
The correct way of exploitation of the energy in in the public buildings is to realize the right way of using and maintaining the heating objects, installation of solar systems, etc. The final target of this project is the reduction of the consumption of fossil fuels for energetic purposes and the reduction of the greenhouse and other kind of gases in the atmosphere. Besides this the social-economical contributions are very important. With the implementation of the energy efficiency measures there will be means savings and the comfort of living will be improved. With this aspect there can be achieved an investment of energy companies and the goverment with the direct improvement of the system with which there can be saved many means and energy.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Functional solar hot water system consisted of 25 m2 solar panels, 1500 liter boilers and heating control systems were installed and connected to existing heating system of the public school “Sinisa Stoilov”, Zrnovci; Forecasted reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases by at least 20 tones of CO2/annually and predicted 4380 USA$ annual saving in energy costs in the project facilities;
Notable Community Participation
Organized two trainings: 1. for maintenance staff to operate and manage the installed equipments of the solar system and 2. Practical training for the general population (with participation of 15 volunteers) on energy efficiency / alternative renewable energy sources and how to conserve energy for daily household use; The project activities and results, as well as the opportunities and benefits of the use of renewable energy, were presented to 30 representatives from various institutions and the local business sector;
