From energy efficiency to efficient local community
From energy efficiency to efficient local community
The project will be realized in a small rural community at about 10km from the town Delcevo-v.Trabotiviste. In this village, starting from the end of 2009 until November 2010, the process of the “Green Agenda Trabotivishte” was implemented, where the local community and the institutions from the municipality with coordination of the RAC Delcevo, realized the planned activities. More than 50 representatives from the local community were included in the process directly and priorities were determined upon analyzing the existing and available documentation, trends, local values and needs,

One of the priorities have been already implemented: a fountain with a faucet and the decoration of the village square. The financial means for the process and the implementation were provided by Mileukontakt Netherlands, co-financed by Municipality Delcevo.

As a second bigger priority in v. Trabotiviste is the production of electric energy from the old dynamo which existed in the village 60 years ago and provided the village with electricity for street lightening. Based on the necessity for saving energy and the interest of the local population for a energy efficiency project, as an association with Municipality Delcevo, we will sign memorandum for understanding with clear and unambiguous determined rules and obligations of this project i.e., the part of saving will be reinvested in renewable energy resources to the part of energy efficiency in v. Trabotiviste.

In order to put the old village dynamo in function, there is a need of its repairmen, reconstruction of the premises and renewal of the village “groove”-water channel for moving the dynamo and contributing to the production of electric energy. For realization of this aim, Municipality delcevo and RAC Delcevo have planned: construction of object measurement and scheme, providing needed construction materials and working engagement of the local population in the activities of the project considering, meanwhile, the social aspect.

The implementation of this type of projects will provide electric energy for public lightening in v. Trabotiviste, use water as potential for acquiring electric energy, provide water from the village groove for watering the yard areas as well as work engagement for part of the unemployed people in the local community.

Saving electrical energy will be provided in the municipal budget, the emission of CO2 in the air will be reduced, and the object will be renewed to contribute to the development of tourism in v.Trabotiviste.

Apart from the main activity, several other activities will be realized, such as education of young potential workers-high school and university students, at the energy-efficiency theme; propaganda material will be prepared for raising consciousness among the citizens.

The means provided for the project implementation will be used to engage unemployed people which will mark the social aspect. The people will be engaged by the local community as their contribution in the project and all expenses will be covered by the LC Trabotiviste through the ULG Delcevo.
