Promoting Biodiversity conservation through local community based Eco Tourism approaches for better local Livelihoods
The village Kathotiya and Kerwa are ideal eco tourism destination that harbors tremendous Biodiversity values both of flora and fauna spread over spectacular landscapes. Two of the critically endangered vultures species are found int eh area.
Since last year actions have been initiated for developing kathotia as eco tourism destination anchored by the local community. A common interest group has been formed of village youth and a Tripartite agreement between VFC, CIG, NGO has been entered into for provision enterprise developmental nd benefit sharing.
