Memantapkan Kedudukan Hutan Simpan Komuniti dan Tadahan Air Kampung Kiau, Kota Belud, Berasaskan Budaya, Adat, Tradisi dan Penurusan Masa Kini
The project aims to improve the community forest reserve and watershed management in Kiau Village, Kota Belud based on culture, tradition and current management for conserving the natural habitat, biodiversity conservation, and as a form of adaptation to climatic change. The project will establish a effective and sustainable monitoring system for community forest management through the development of community forest trails, medicinal herbal garden, and building capacity for administration of community forest and watershed management.

Project sustainability
Committees established during the project to take care of community forest reserve and watershed areas will continue to manage these areas. GOMPITO will participate in Ecological Linkages to connect National Park (Ecolinc) project. Kinabalu Eco-Linc adopted the Community Conserved Areas (CCAs), where protected areas of significant conservation value are developed through community-driven initiatives based on indigenous institutions and management regimes.
