PROMOTING LIVELIHOODS FOR ECOTOURISM THROUGH WOMEN’S HANDICRAFT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS OF SHIBDERAZ VILLAGE RELATED TO HAWKSBILL TURTLE PROJECT AND BERKEH KHALAF VILLAGE RELATED TO PEARL CULTURING PROJECT IN QESHM ISLAND

Developing a linkage between the ecotourism project and the 2 Local Women Community Based Organizations in Sheibderaz and Berkeh Khalaf established under the the marketing project for the products developed by the members of the 2 CBOs.
• New designs to help marketing and to promote traditional handicraft and conservation art
• Introducing the products in different exhibitions and seminars (other products from SGP projects will also be promoted alongside the exhibitions)
• Introducing the products in media; websites and newsletters
• Promoting women’s presence in turtle site for introducing the products to the tourists
• Developing a plan for relating the livelihood to the conservation work by emphasizing the conservation aspect of the work
