The project aims to establish the GEF Small Grants Programme?s niche as financing programme in Romania. The project team will identify and analyse the current and future framework of the financing sources (in Romania) dedicated to community projects on environment and community development, implemented by NGOs and/or CBOs. The positioning of SGP in this context will be identified and participatory analysed. The contribution of SGP financed projects to the impact of the Programme on local and global environment, poverty reduction and capacity building at community level, will be analysed and recommendations on the methods for this impact maximization. .
