Expansion of a demonstration organic farm and integrated traditional cropping for improved sustainable livelihood
The Village of Paia has already started its organic vegetable garden and the planting of medicinal plants used by traditional healers for treating illness. The current problem faced by the community is lack of water to water the garden. Majority of families have a water tank, but its only for their family consumption, currently they are using water from their water tanks to water the garden. However, the members of the women?s committee said that having a water tank for the community, will be fare on all members, seeing that only a few members share their family water tanks and the garden benefits all the women in the village.
