Develop the sustainbility of subsistent living, ensuring protection to the environment, Nukunonu Village Tokelau
In Nunukonu village, pigs roam around plantation and residential areas, thus destroying crops and posing health issues. Family and community efforts in gardening or agricultural projects have often been ruined by the pigs.
This project intends to build a communal pigsty, strong enough to prevent pigs from destroying and escaping from it. Each family will be allocated a partition in the pigsty.
The project will also reestablish a vegetable garden to provide an alternative source of vegetable to imported packaged goods.
