The project aim was achieved: development, demonstration and dissemination of new technologies for the cultivation of perennial grasses and niche cultures in the conditions of Zhytomyr Polissya were made. To do that, the ecological technology of growing perennial grasses and niche crops for two areas of Zhytomyr Polissya with the total area of 100 hectares was developed and substantiated. Ecotechnologies of niche crops on 50 hectares of demonstration area 1 (Naroditsky district) and 50 hectares of demonstration area 2 (Pulinsky district) of Zhytomyr Polissya were introduced. In addition, seeds of niche crops (about 2000 kg), perennial grasses (about 1000 kg), and fertilizers (3550 kg) were purchased, and two technologies for creation of high-yielding public pasture for 20 hectares were worked out. Research of the methodology of growing perennial grasses and niche cultures in conditions of degradation and radioactive contamination of the territories was done. Capacity building of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine in Zhytomyr Oblast was conducted; information about technology and partners of the project was disseminated among 200 people. Ecological puzzle featuring niche cultures in 1000 copies was created and produced. Ecological awareness and community culture of 200 persons were raised regarding the dissemination of experience in environmental technologies for the cultivation of perennial grasses and niche crops under the conditions of the Polissya through two scientific conferences, seminars, participation in Forums (7) and Knowledge Fair (1). Also, the information about the results of the project was published on the websites of the Green Zhytomyr Network and among other partners ? 10 news, 1 video; in the newspaper "Development and Environment" ? 3 printed articles; in social networks ? 20 posts. In addition, the results of the project were published on 6 websites of the project partners, in particular on websites of the Green Zhytomir Network, the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine, Zhytomyr Television, Soyuz TV Company, the Belarusian Center for Environmental Solutions, the Zhytomyr National Agroecological University, the Network for Education for Sustainable Development, the All-Ukrainian Ecological Newspaper "Development and Environment", which contributed to raising the environmental awareness and awareness of the community on how to improve land degradation and radioactive abandoned territories in Ukraine.
