The indigenization and popularization of the SDGs in Saint Lucia with a focus on environmental sustainability, poverty reduction and capacity development. .
This project will initiate an innovative process, which will indigenize and popularise the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Saint Lucia. The project objectives are as follows: (i) To improve and strengthen the organizational capacity of FRC to inform and educate CSOs and publics on the SDGs using the Kwéyòl language by the end of the third month of the project; (ii) to translate the SDGs into kwéyòl in such a manner that it is easily understood by speakers. (iii) to design and implement an SDG programme which informs and improves the understanding of the SDGs using the local Kwéyòl language; (iv) to support CSOs in order for members to take action in pursuit of relevant SDGs and speak back to power with regard to the SDGs Contests; and (v) to share the lessons learned during project implementation, specifically those that led to community participation, learning and action.

Most important about this project, will be the methodologies that will be used to build awareness and increase the understanding of the SDGs. The South South links which will be created between Saint Lucia and Dominica, Haiti, and Mauritius, will add significant benefits to all beneficiaries.
