The proposed project is specifically designed to strengthen the adaptation capacities and promote the economic empowerment of 50 disabled women farmers to engage in commercially viable and climate-resilient agricultural productivity programs for three (3)months. The project overall goal is to improve the livelihood and economic status of disabled women farmers through building their adaptation and resilience capacities to overcome negative impact climate change had on their agricultural productivity, social and economic progression.

Also, this proposed project aims at delivering interventions that will mainstream the involvement and benefit of 50 disabled women farmers in climate-resilient agricultural productivity program that will improve their livelihood status, adaptation levels, resilience capacities, social and economic progression of the already marginalized disability women populace, within the contexts of change climate, poverty reduction and social integration. The project measurable indicators include but not limited to; (i) the number of disabled women farmers that participate and contribute in sustainable forests and wetlands management,(ii) the number of disabled women engaged in agricultural productivity that are adaptable and resilient to climate change impacts, (iii)the number of disabled women that have greater access climate friendly agricultural inputs including improved technology (iv) the number of disabled women farmers that have access to markets and credit facilities,(vi) mainstream and improving women farmers participation and benefit in value chain agro-marketing and climate resilient agriculture programs

However, project stipulated activities will include but not limited to; (i) engaging 50 disabled women farmers to plant 1000 economic trees to contribute to local afforestation efforts (ii) engaging 50 disabled women farmers in planting Eco beans for profits and for improving soil fertility(iii) carry out advocacy for the implementation of gender and disability responsive land laws beneficial to disabled women farmers( iv) conduct workshops that will improve the agency and voice of disabled women farmers in community environmental conservation programs (v) conduct workshops that extend forest conservation and environmental awareness education to 50 disabled women farmers(vi) provide assorted planting tools,seeds,seedlings,potato vines and other planting equipment to create alternative livelihoods for 50 disabled women farmers(vii) provide storage and processing facilities for eco-cassava (viii) provide small scale livestock for alternative income generation for 50 disabled women farmers (ix) conduct capacity building trainings that will extend financial literacy skills that will benefit 50 disabled women farmers (x) conduct capacity building that will extend value addition skills that will promote 50 disabled women farmers engagement in value-chain and climate-resilient agro processing industry. (xi) Extend credit facilities to 50 disabled women farmers to engage in alternative climate-resilient income generation activities.
