To Implement the Sustainable Bee-keeping Development Practices as a Method to Conserve Biodiversity and Improve the Livelihoods of Local Communities in Almaty Oblast by Bee-keeping Training for the Local Communities in Alakol District, Almaty Oblast
The main goal of the project is:
Training and information support for advanced and progressive environmental technologies in semi-desert and steppe ecosystems for the sustainable development of beekeeping as a method of preserving biodiversity and improving the livelihoods of local communities.
Project Objectives:
- Conducting an informational and educational campaign among members of the local community of the Usharal city, Zhaipak, Intaly, Aktobe rural districts of Alakol district of Almaty region and Yereymentau district of Akmola areas of innovative technologies in beekeeping as an alternative method of population profitability;
- assistance to the development of beekeeping in semi-desert and steppe territories through the transfer of acquired equipment on a competitive basis to those trained in the project;
-information and wide dissemination of the experience gained and project results among stakeholders.
