The Oceanic Explorer Center: A Hub for Ocean Literacy and Conservation
The aim is transforming Mindsets through "The Oceanic Explorer Center: A Hub for Ocean Literacy and Conservation" to
foster a community of responsible citizens. The center, established in Ramlet el bayda, will implement an education
program and artistic tools that employs not only a range of learning methods and resources, including interactive
workshops, exhibitions and lectures on ocean topics, hazards of plastic and climate change, hands-on activities,
educational videos but will use art, beach rules and recycling to stop the selling, purchase and use of single- use plastic.
The major focus of the program is to tackle the issue of single-use plastic and its negative effects on the environment.
Ramlet El Bayda is a national marine park and a large number of people could be tackled through this project (estimation of 10000 persons on one summer Sunday.
