Harroru Community Hirola Conservation project.
The Hirola antelope is one of the threatened species in Kenya. The Harroru community was given a grant to undertake regular counting of the antelope and building of several earth dams for the benefit of the antelope, other wild animals and domestic animals in the Garissa area of Kenya.
Due to geographical location, near to Somali border, the project experienced difficulties in monitoring and evaluation. Therefore it was terminated before completion.
