Planting of 10000 plants in the catchment areas and conservation of watersheds.
Introduce energy saving stoves to 400 families.
Promote home garden cultivation, use of organic fertilizer, sustainable farming methods as alternatives to chena cultivation.
Employ soil conservation techniques in home gardens.
Introduce and promote Integrated Pest Management techniques.
Improve natural environments of 10 schools, enhance knowledge of school children on environment.
Enhance income levels of 20 families through special home economic programmes.
Conduct awareness training programs for women on sustainable farming, home gardening, composting, pesticide control, soil conservation, food preservation technologies and use of fuel efficient stoves, disseminate information on sustainable farming methods as alternatives to chena cultivation.
