Comprehensive Environmental Awareness Programme for School Children
In close cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The NGO disseminated the information on Pilot Phase projects to students, they were given the task to evaluate projects in their areas & results were disseminated to larger audience within the community. Through involving students from all over the country in project activities, environmental concepts and GEF focal areas were spread among a large group of the young generation of Jordan.
NGO capacity to manage youth programs and relating them to other global and local initiatives was strengthened, enhancing its capability to achieve its objectives. Male and female youth from all over the country participated in project activities. Their role as evaluators of other SGP projects enhanced their self esteen and strengthened their capacities. Many public awareness activities are still being conducted, relation to global issues is also part of another initiative managed by the NGO; the "GLOBE" program.
