A project that will be implemented in Zulo administrative post of Massingir district, that is a semi-arid area. The project is within multifocal area aiming to contribute to biodiversity conservation through control of bushfires, and tree felling for production of charcoal, and firewood. Jatropha farming for production of biodiesel, charcoal, and soaps will contribute to environmental protection, and boosting of local economies. Concomitantly environmental awareness campaigns will take place, together with promotion of transporting systems through use of animal pushed trailers. The project activities will alleviate pressure over natural resources, improve access to water, conserve land, and improve livelihood support activities.
