Accessible Adequate Clean Water Supply for Ekipe Community for Improvement of environmental management, health and Saniation and fair sharing of Labour on Women and Children
The hardship for securing acessible water in small Islands community for domestic use such as the Ekipe community, becomes a detriments to surrounding environment including salt water reef areas environment that are use for daily domestic wash and cleanings, in particilar during long dry seasons. The role of securing water each day falls into the hands of women and Children that deprives their participation time in other social economic activties such as attending school, marketing goods for family income. So the Project will make accessible adequate water for Ekipe community through installation of gravity water pipe into 55 households. The Ekipe Health and Water committee responsible of the community project will be developeing materials and raise community awareness on environment health and sanitation through brochures, community School Children Carnivals.
