the Matutuine district is an area of high biodiversity of flora and birdlife, within the Maputaland Centre of Endemism; the project intends to create a community tree nursery in an area of around 10 hectares composed of medicinal plants such as Moringa, Margoseira, African Potato and aloe specimen; this nursery will serve as a learning center on the preservation of the environment but can also be a laboratory for solving health primary care services of the local population; the project will contribute to building a community nursery that will be transformed into a community forest in the future; few patches of surrounding cleared forests will be reforested with part of the product from the nursery; climate change will also be mitigated with these trees that live many years and help with the absorption of CO2; livelihood support activities will also be promoted.
