Building capacity for the women in improving community lighting through solar energy.
Building capacity for the women in improving community lighting through solar energy.
The project is to promote women for solar lighting in Vanuatu. With the scattered islands it is difficult to reach all communities with standard electricity power. The women scattered all over the country if well trained in solar engineering can be a vessel to channel this development to reaching most rural part of Vanuatu through these components;
• Strengthen the National Committee for policy drive for solar lighting led by women in Vanuatu
• Strengthened the capacity of solar engineer to promote solar energy in rural communities
• Strengthened the local village committee capacity for self financing village solar powering
• Sharing the knowledge of solar power led by women as part of clean energy sources
