CLEEN (Civil Society Local Energy Efficiency Network)
CLEEN (Civil Society Local Energy Efficiency Network)
The Republic of Moldova imports energy resources at the prices which are in a continuous growth on the both banks of the River Nistru.
In that way, renewable sources of energy and their development are vital for the society of our region. At the same time there are no programs and workshops about environmental protection or renewable resources of energy (RSE). These sight the rural population and allows the usage of cheaper materials in order to make more simple installations from renewable resources (solar collectors for water heating and air heating, wind turbines, solar panels for drying vegetables and fruits, etc…)
People from countryside are poorly informed on the topic of energy efficiency and haven't heard a lot about the measures of how to lower the amount of energy consumption and make their life more sustainable.
From the Energetic Strategy of Republic of Moldova to 2030: from Article 41, paragraph 7, there haven’t been inserted technologies as to the energetic efficiency for producing electric energy, with a reduced impact on the environment. General speaking there haven’t been investments made as to the capacity to generate electric energy, combined with heat and energy as to a system of heating.
That's why Gutta-club came with an initiative to help these people.
The aim of our project is to promote renewable sources of energy (water, wind, sun) by real installations and by own example of some farmers. Also that projects aims to build a network of NGO's who will cooperate in order to obtain accurate information about energy efficiency and risks, improve their technical knowledge , build up capacity for more efficient awareness raising via the media and their own channels. As a result they will participate in training course which will combine theoretical part as well as practical and workshops on how to build a simple energy-efficient installation.

Gender Focus
At all stages of project implementation will be to strictly monitor the percentage involvement of both men and women as 50:50.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Society members will be allowed to facilities that will serve as a model to development of new constructions, data monitoring and project results will be included in brochures and information bulletins developed during drafting practice. So people will have direct access to the schools where they will install Eco-Banners that will contain concrete information about the results and project monitoring data. Round-tables, conferences will have a positive effect in the development and promotion of alternative energy sources. It is planned an active media (involving media in all project phases).
