Documentation of Environmental Projects funded Under the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Initiatives are being undertaken in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique to protect and preserve the environment while building the resilience of communities to address the impacts of climate change. These efforts are in the areas of climate change, land degradation, biodiversity, chemicals and international waters. While good these efforts are not documented to show the before and after effects of these interventions. The project will therefore document all the projects currently being implemented in the state of Grenada in an effort to raise awareness and document and share the lessons learnt from these interventions.

The project will therefore document 12 projects currently being funded by the GEF SGP through detailed interviews, live and still footage to name a few. There will be sessions where exerts of these projects will be produced for airing and raising awareness in the different communities on Island thus highlighting that environmental issues can be solved with every small effort through total participation and integration at the global, regional and local levels. This will serve to encourage and motivate other individuals and groups to take action. 30 Minutes documentaries will be produced both in hard and soft copies for dissemination to all stakeholders. The aim is to demonstrate to the citizens that tackling environmental and climate change problems are not impossible.

The goal of the project is to document all projects funded under GEF GP that addresses the GEF focal areas of Climate change, Land degradation, Biodiversity, Chemicals and International Waters while raising awareness, documenting best practices and sharing lessons learnt on the local level.

The objectives are as follow

To increase the awareness of climate change and environmental issues taking place in Grenada
