Involvement, interaction and cooperation through identification of local solutions for global issues
The project "Involvement, interaction and cooperation through identification of local solutions for global issues" belongs to the Capacity Development focal area, and comes to increase the NGOs capacities in order to promote the organizations, projects, results, etc. Thus, the project's implementation addresses the dissemination lack of the information to a larger public, in order for the last to be aware and to understand the GEF Small Grants Programme, its strategy and expected results.
The project's beneficiaries are the GEF SGP grant beneficiaries, potential beneficiaries, SGP Moldova, environmental NGOs and environmental journalists from Moldova. They will be involved directly into the project's activities: instructions, workshops, consultancy, visit studies, etc.
The specific objectives of the project are:
1. The promotion and the consolidation of the partnerships among stakeholders, such as NGOs / CSOs, funding international organizations, local and central public authorities, business communities , and local communities;
2. Change of experience among NGOs / CSOs that address global environmental issues to facilitate the exchange of experience and replication of best practices;
3. The improvement of the awareness and understanding level about the GEF Small Grants Programme, its strategy and results.
The specific expected results of the project are:
- 3 workshops in order to consolidate the partnerships among stakeholders, including journalist, NGOs representatives, international funding organizations, private companies, local public authorities representatives etc;
- 2 events for the World Environmental Day;
- 2 workshops for the potential beneficiaries of the GEF SGP;
- Instruction module, lasting 6 days with several phases, regarding the communication techniques with mass-media in promoting and ensuring the projects' visibility and SEO assistance in site optimization;
- 20 success stories within the GEF SGP projects;
- 1 brochure with the success stories withing SGP for the period 2013-2018;
- 2 special editions in the magazine NATURA with success stories;
- 5 video spots about the SGP initiatives with a time-frame of maximum 3 minutes per video spot, being broadcasted within several specialized TV shows and social media.
- 3 study visits for the journalists and bloggers in order to inform about the SGP projects and its results;
- Mentoring for 15 organizations in realizing at least 2 journalistic materials for the projects that are / or will be implemented during the operational phase 6.

Gender Focus
Considering the European conventions that protect the human rights and the fundamental freedom, as well as the national provisions reflected in the Law nr. 5-XVI since 09.02.2006, regarding the ensuring of the gender equality, all the activities within the questioned projects will ensure the access of all those interested, regardless gender, social status, religion, etc. When drafting the project proposal, women as well as men participated. Also, during the activities realized within the project, women and men will be involved.
