"Chornobyl. Territory of change?: empowering local communities
The project main objective is to establish Information Center ?Chernobyl. Territory of changes?and involves the following activities: development of technical design project on re-construction the Center building; carrying out construction works and insulation of the building; purchase and installation of 1 set of equipment that includes a solar panel on the roof of the building to ensure independent power supply; installation of engineering networks; electrical and plumbing equipment; energy-saving LED lighting; purchase and installation of the environmentally friendly equipment; arrangement of the Centre with furniture; developing and printing information materials (stands, brochures) and external banner; creation of the library that encounter informational, educational and scientific literature; development of the web page of the Center; holding an information campaign in the media on a regular basis; carrying out the presentations of the Center to mass media and other stakeholders; development and implementation of consulting and training mechanisms for the Center visitors.

Gender Focus
Gender equality is a part of project policy and all parties participate in project activities on equal base and benefit from project results.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Installed photovoltaic modules, a network inverter, current protection automation, overload protection and other network components reduce CO2 emissions by 18 tons per year. 30 LED lights provide energy-saving lighting to the Center, which saved 10.92 mW / year and reduced CO2 emissions by 2 tons a year.
