Modernization of heating system for internally displaced children?s camp
Modernization of heating system for internally displaced children?s camp
The project aims at installing a solid fuel boiler in the countryside institution for rehabilitation and recreation "Dream", that hosts IDPs. This solid fuel boiler reduces greenhouse gas emissions while working on alternative sources of fuel as well as expenses on heating of the building. The project demonstrates the benefits of using alternative heating sources to public. This demonstration should become a good example for visitors of this children's camp, children?s parents and temporary displaced persons who live there now, and for the surrounding population that alternative fuels are not only cheaper than traditional ones but also substantially contribute to the environment protection.
Expected results imply creation of the mechanism how to involve public to environmental and social solutions; to involve citizens to the environmental projects and activities; to demonstrate the positive results of cooperation between local community and government; to create new jobs; to use the best practices to implement various ecological projects.
