Capacity - Building Component

Capacity need assent was conducted and based on revealed need the 5 day training camp was organized for target audience, covering following topics: Advocacy and Active citizenship, Campaigns planning, Project Management, Developing a Dialogue Platform Strategy with government, Team building, Effective Communication, Air Pollution, Climate Change, waste and water management.

Local Environmental Action Plan was elaborated and approved by Sakrebulo as a normative act. besides, association pushed to make changes in Environmental Impact Assessment Code

Project used following tools for awareness raising: community meetings, workshops, trainings, produced short documentary, participated in TV and Radio shows. Used social and printed media for project results sharing.

Short documentary was produced besides project printed and disseminated project results in local and social media. Project result presentation event organized for interested stockholders.

Project sustainability

The implementation of Local environmental action plan is ensured by local municipality , as a result it will avoid adverse environmental and social impacts, it will benefit local population to live in a healthy environment.

Gender Focus

The main goal of the project is to involve women and youth in natural resources management. In the proposal is underlined the importance of women’s role in the improvement and the protection of the environment. Besides, project Increased women’s role in Advisory Council and Integrate gender mainstreaming issues into the local action programme on environment protection.

Notable Community Participation

Young generation was actively involved both in project design and implementation activities. One of the result of the project was creation of students union, who in the future will be actively lobby environmental activities in Municipality.
