the main idea of the project is to Introduce efficient heating systems for biomass combustion in municipal buildings on Mtskheta Tianeti region by using readily available and sustainable biomass fuels, raise national capacity in the biomass sector and increase awareness and acceptance of renewable energy.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The Biomass Association’s website, the dedicated communication network and the network of environmental NGOs will be the primary vehicles for knowledge exchange. Meetings with local communities and interested stakeholders from other regions will also be promoted, with the aim of further knowledge sharing and information dissemination.
Gender Focus
The main purpose is to promote and popularize biomass fuels in Georgia. The gender issues are considered in project proposal. To use biomass fuel for heating system is a low cost and environmental friendly. To have such type of heating system is in the women’s interest also. Participation of women is considered in several project activities. The teachers in the school and especially in the kindergarten are women. That’s why it is necessary to provide them with the information about the importance of biomass fuel.
