The ability to secure funds for further investment into scaling-up the system with affect long-term sustainability of the project. Also, by finding lower-cost feed products the grantee may be able to increase the rate of growth at an affordable rate. If this is achieved, they may be able to increase the product turnover rate and maximize viability of commercial production.

The organization is relatively new having only been formally establish in 2016. However, the organization is well structured, it has five (5) Board of Directors that comprise of three (3) founding Members and two (2) appointed Director. It has a total membership of fifteen. The organization?s human resource capacity and technical background are adequate enough to facilitate the implementation of the proposed project. The design and construction of solar power stations is an important skillset for the long-term success of this shrimp farming project. A deeper understanding of the local food retail market and potential export market(s) would also be added skillsets that can enhance the long term viability of the project.

The project has the potential to be financially feasible given the success of similar initiatives in the Pacific and the USA. The differences that exist in the project is the context, scale and the production system. Sustainable livelihoods activities are directly and indirectly facilitated through piloting of this initiative and training of community members to replicate the economic activity.
