This project combines with another project by a different grantee, to build resilience within the Fond Watershed. The objectives are as follows: : (i) Raise awareness, knowledge, skills of at least 25 households in Malgretoute to the benefits of climate smart agricultural practices in the context of reducing vulnerability to flooding by the 11th Month of the 11th Project; (ii) To improve the capacity of the Malgretoute Community Action Trust to be proactive in the management of its operations and provide excellence in service to its members and the community of Malgretoute by the 6th month of the project; (iii) To provide training and skills to 25 households in the establishment and management of a plant nursery and to manage the resources available for economic benefits within a flood prone landscape; (iv) Engage in a Public Private Partnership with Premium Cocoa Growers Association for suitable tree crop production practices leading to income generation for the community namely cocoa, nutmeg and cinnamon production; (v) Improve food security for the community through small enterprise creation ? in honey production, rabbit rearing and crop production; and (vi) to uundertake the design and implementation of a community information management system that seeks to capture the knowledge and skill base of the community to ensure documentation , categorization, analysis and sharing of local information and knowledge for social development policy planning and research opportunities.
