Capacity Building Through legalising the proposed Lake Xau Management Trust.
The project intends to register a single CBO that will effectively manage Lake Xau to capacitate the communities on natural resources use, equip board of trustees with CBO governance skills and ensure the availability of an agreed legal document governing the use of Lake Xau resource. A reduction in resource use conflicts for the lake xau by different CBO’s through formation of an agreed governance structure in order to maximize and sustainably manage these resources for the benefit of local community.

More over women and men will capacity will be enhance on CBO governance and project management especially those in the board of Trustees.
The Community Based Organisation will be guided by the 2007 CBNRM policy which outlines the objectives of the community in ensuring conservation of natural resources as well as empowering communities with legislation and devolved management responsibilities. The establishment of the proposed Trust is in line with the CBNRM policy of encouraging closer community to share limited available resources.
