The South-east now have a number of first respondents to assist in times when professional help is cut off or has not arrived on the scene. This will minimize the number of lives lost: also it will be easy for the professionals when they arrive to assess the situation as a report will be given to them.

The community now is more aware of the environment.The residence of Southeast in spite of scarce resources, will be able to utilize the services of CERT and make good use of the opportunity.
Socially there will be a greater and collective efforts within the community. The La Plaine community is closely link with the Office of Disaster Management because of the partnership that was developed during the training.
