Main Project Objective
To strengthen the adaptive capacity of rural communities to better respond to climate induced hazards
Specific objectives
1. To facilitate the implementation of alternative livelihood activities such as goat rearing using business models in Lalafuta VAG in Nkeyema District by 2019
2. To promote and improve capacity in climate change adaptation of the indigenous people through training in energy conservation skills particularly energy saving cook stoves in Lalafuta VAG in Nkeyema District by 2019
Expected Results
1. Enhanced adaptive capacity of vulnerable families to climate change and variability.
2. Use of energy saving cock stoves improved resulting in a significant reduction in cutting of trees.
3. Improved nutrition from goat rearing
4. Increased income from goat rearing
5. Empowered with new skills in financial management and energy saving stoves
