Demonstration of complex of efficient practices to reduce land degradation in semi-desert and steppe ecosystems of East Kazakhstan on the example of Sarybel rural district, Kokpekty area
The project is aimed at development and implementation of a set of measures reducing anthropogenic impact on the degraded steppe landscapes of the Sarybel district.
Tasks:
1. Improvement of hayfields and pastures by creating seed plots of forage grasses and sowing the obtained seeds on degraded forage lands.
2. Ue of soil-saving farming methods by local rcommunities for growing vegetables and fruits.
3. Assistance to rural women in production and sale of agricultural products.
4. Information campaing for development of sustainable agricultural production.
