a. The purpose of the activity
1. General:
Improving the socio-economic conditions of seaweed farmers in Akle Village, Kec. Semau Selatan through improving the economy of a socio-entrepreneurship-based society.

2. Specific:
• Introducing environmentally friendly livelihood options
• Preserving and enhancing marine biodiversity in the seaweed farming ecosystem
• Improve the socio-economic situation of the community through alternative management of seaweed in various needs.

1. Ecological Challenges
Ecological and Human Resource Challenges of Semau Island:
• Communities with all their elements besides sporadic and unorganized moves in handling agrarian and marine reforms are still largely absorbed in procedural reasoning
• Lack of awareness of environmental sustainability, disposal of plastic waste, household waste and oil from motorboats into the sea, which causes uncertainty in marine ecosystems (seaweed, coral reefs, fish, etc.).
• Processing of sea grass cultivation that still uses traditional tools so that it can damage other seaweed seeds.
• The lack of clean water sources available.
