"Promoting GEF-Civil Society partnership for chemical safety/waste management and supporting the SAICM 2020 goal in The Gambia".
The overall objective of the project is to effect greater awareness through sensitization and training on GEF matters focusing on the role of CSOs in chemical management. The project will pay particular attention to POPs issues including the search for and screen more locally available botanicals for pesticide properties and demonstrate their effective utilization to vegetable growers with a view to reduce the amount of pesticides unnecessarily emitted in vegetable production thus supporting the 2020 overarching goal of the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM).
