A collaborative effort, between agriculture students and farmers to increase farm resilience against water deficit, during the dry season
The objective of the project is to provide training to SIAH students about water conservation techniques and field applications, engage them in other farming activities and providing referential documents to the student for future use while applying for employment in the field of sustainable agriculture. The students will participate with established farmers facing issue of water deficit and set up water conservation containers with connection from the source as well as an water-saving irrigation system to supply water to the agriculture field.

The proposed system will help increase the availability of irrigation water during the dry season and decrease wastage of irrigation water by introduction of water conservation methods alongside a low volume irrigation system.
The planning grant is expected to assist the project development through to the first few months of implementation and also provide continued guidance through the project life and post-project.
